The 2002 Season:

The Easthampton Friends of Football Boosters organization has expanded their youth and high school football and cheer programs once again. For the 2002 season, players and family will enjoy football and cheer for students in grades three through grade 12. Three teams are now underway in the Suburban program, offering a Youth Pee Wee football and cheer program for 3rd and 4th graders; a Youth Junior football and cheer program for 5th and 6th graders; and a Youth seniors football and cheer program for our 7th and 8th graders. These programs are open to all residents of Easthampton and Southampton, regardless of the school attended.

Our high school program will enter its third year of varsity competition, once again a member of the Tri-County south division. The program was expanded last year to form a co-op team with students from Hampshire Regional High School. Look for a vastly improved squad that returns 19 lettermen. Several transfers and newcomers from both schools will help strengthen the team as they charge after their first Super Bowl appearance ever.

High School football gets underway this Saturday, September 7th at 1:30pm with a home game (White Brook Middle School Field) against a very strong team from North Reading, Massachusetts. Lots of excitement is building as Eastern Massachusetts team rarely venture this far for a game and we'd love to see a huge crowd at the field cheering the Eagles on to victory.

Suburban football follows on the heals of their high school counterpart, as their season opens Sunday September 8th. This weeks home games will see the Pee Wees start at noon, with the juniors and seniors to follow. Come see our Suburban Eagles battle Agawam for the victories.

Easthampton Friends of Football Association is pleased to announce that we will be bringing Suburban Football to Easthampton and Southampton this fall!! We've had phenomenal success in sign-ups. We hoped for 60 boys, found funding for 70 (just in case) and have had over 80 sign-up! And they continue calling.

This presents a finacial problem, we will need to step up our fundraising to support 4 new teams! Varsity 5th & 6th Graders, Junior Varsity 5th & 6th Graders, Varsity 7th & 8th Graders and Junior Varsity 7th & 8th Graders. After all we need to make sure everyone gets playing time.

We are also on need of more coaches, more boys need more coaches!
