Anyone wishing to hold a tag sale in Easthampton must obtain a tag sale permit from the Office of the City Clerk, 50 Payson Avenue.
The permits may be for one day or two consecutive days. Only two sales (or 4 days) are permitted per calendar year. The cost of a permit is $5.00 per sale. It has been the policy of the office to allow a permit to be rescheduled for no charge if: it rains steadily for the entire day/weekend or the date is changed prior to the permitted weekend.
Permits are prepared immediately upon completion of the application. The application is available on-line and may be printed, then brought to 50 Payson Avenue, for payment and issuance of the permit. The tag sale ordinance is also available on-line.
